Forgot your password:

Q: When would you use this?

A: This is not your first-time logging into the HR/CMS portal but you have forgotten your password.

Instructions:

To begin, please make sure to clear your browser cache before logging into HR/CMS (Go to https://www.mass.gov/guides/clear-your-browser-cache for instructions).

  • Go to the HR/CMS login page at https://hrcms-prod.mass.gov/psp/H92PRD/?cmd=login.
  • Click on “Forgot your Password?” link on the initial login page.
  • Enter your 6-digit User ID# (that you received in the “Welcome to FSU” email from Payroll).
  • Enter answer to your security question (setup previously), then click on “Email New Password.”

You will receive a system generated temporary password sent to your email address (setup previously)

To reset your password, use your 6-digit User ID# and this temporary password to log in to your HR/CMS account.

Once you use this to log in, the system will say that your password has expired and you'll have to change it. Your new password should be at least 12 characters long and contain both upper-case and lower-case letters as well as a number (you cannot reuse the last nine passwords used). 

Please note that all employees need to setup password recovery in the system, with an email address (to use the password reset feature) and security question-answer (to access Pay checks, W2s, etc.)

Important: Passwords expire every 60 days. You will receive a notice of expiration when you log in to the system.
