Instructions:

See the attached Word document for narrative with screen shots.

The newest version of Argos has several new features, the most noticeable of which is a different user interface. The way you access and run reports has changed slightly. This guide is intended to provide a brief overview of the changes. Additional documentation, tutorials, and videos are available from Evisions.

The first change is the login page. You will log into the Evisions Suite, and will then have access to Argos from there. Moving forward, all users will log in using their network username and password (what you use for your email, myFramingham, etc.).

To get to the Argos client (what you’re used to seeing), click on the Argos button.

Traditional Argos Interface

The report folder structure (on the left) has not changed, but your options to run reports have changed slightly.  If you click the + next to the Datablock to get to the reports, you’ll still see the Banded reports.  “Run Report” has replaced the “Execute” button, when you have highlighted the Banded report you want to run.

Your selected report will appear in the Reports Options drop-down.  Click the Preview button to run your report.

A new option with the upgrade is to simply click on the Datablock, and click the “Run Dashboard” button.

Then select your report from the Report Options drop-down, and click the Preview button to run it.

One of the new features is the option for users to save their parameters.

After making selections from each of the parameters, select <Save Current Settings> from the Dashboard Options drop-down.

Complete the Name and Description fields for this set of parameters, and click the “OK” button.

The next time you run the report, select the name of the dashboard from the Dashboard Options drop-down.

The saved parameters will pre-populate and you can run the report or view the results as usual.

Additional documentation on the Argos interface can be found here.

Argos Web Viewer

The Argos Web Viewer will allow you to access reports from different browsers, operating systems, and devices.

From the launch page, click the Argos Web Viewer button.

The directory of available reports is still on the left hand side of the screen, and your location is tracked at the top of the page.

You can also view the details of the Datablock, and the reports available from it, by clicking the Details button to the right of the Datablock.

From the Reports drop-down, you can select the specific report you’re looking to run, or just view the QuickView window (if available).

After selecting your parameters as usual, click the “Run” button, and you can save or open your report.
