Overview
Yuja Panorama automatically provides users (teachers and students) the opportunity to generate Alternative Formats for most course material in Canvas courses (Files, Assignments, Pages, and more), where possible.
There may be cases in which an instructor does not wish Alternative Formats to be available including:
- The alternative formats generated by Panorama are malformed, or detract from the users' experience in some way
- An existing Conforming Alternative Version is presented that is superior to the Alternative Formats generated by Panorama.
To disable Alternative Formats for a given course item, open the Accessibility Report for that item and click on the Alternative Formats button to open the Alternative Formats menu. At the bottom of the Alternative Formats Menu, there is a toggle with the message "Alternative Formats are visible to students. To hide, toggle to the left". You may need to scroll down to find this toggle.

Can I disable some of the alternative formats options but not all?
No, that is not possible.
Can I disable alternative formats for the entire course?
No, alternative formats can only be disabled on a per-item basis.
