Connecting to FSU_Wireless

When would you use this?

When on campus, sign into FSU_Wireless to gain access to the Internet. 

Instructions:

Windows 11

1. Click on the network, sound, or batter icon in the taskbar to open quick settings.
2. Next to the wireless icon, click the arrow > to manage Wi-Fi connections.
3. Select FSU_Wireless from the list.
4. Click Connect.
5. When prompted, enter your FSU credentials like below:
   • Students, use student\username and your password.
   • Employees, use campus\username and your password.
6. Click OK.
7. Click Connect.
8. If you are prompted to trust the certificate, click OK on any prompt.

macOS

1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the Menu Bar.
2. Select FSU_Wireless from the list.
3. When prompted, enter your FSU credentials like below:
   • Students, use student\username and your password.
   • Employees, use campus\username and your password.
4. Click OK.
5. When prompted to verify the certificate, click Continue.
6. If asked to enter your username and password for your computer, do so.

ChromeOS

1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar.
2. Select FSU_Wireless from the network list.
3. Configure the network as below:
   • EAP Method: PEAP
   • EAP Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPv2
   • Server CA Certificate: Do not check
   • Domain: framingham.edu
   • Identity: your FSU username like below
     • Students, use student\username
     • Employees, use campus\username
   • Password: your FSU password
   • Ignore everything else
4. Click Connect.

Apple iOS (iPhones) and iPadOS

1. Open Settings.
2. Choose Wi-Fi.
3. Choose FSU_Wireless.
4. When prompted, enter your FSU credentials like below:
   • Students, use student\username and your password.
   • Employees, use campus\username and your password.
5. Tap Join.
6. Tap Trust when prompted with the certificate.

Android

Due to the open source nature of Android, different devices may have differences in the user interface. These instructions attempt to cover all versions of the Android operating system, but your specific device may require a different configuration.

1. Find where available networks are listed on your device.
2. Select FSU_Wireless.
3. Configure the network as below:
   • EAP Method: PEAP
   • Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPv2
   • CA Certificate: Do not check
   • Domain: framingham.edu
   • Identity: your FSU username, like below:
     • Students, use student\username
     • Employees, use campus\username
   • Anonymous Identity: leave blank
   • Password: your FSU password
   • Ignore everything else
4. Tap Connect.
