As of April 2026, the DocHub in Equalground is temporarily unavailable. Therefore all users are directed to use the DocHub in Panorama for individual document remediation.
Both Yuja platforms (Panorama and Equalground) have a feature called the DocHub. In DocHub, users can check and do some remediation for individual documents, outside of the context of a website or the LMS. The DocHub functions exactly the same in both platforms, but the two systems are not linked (a document uploaded to DocHub in Panorama will not be accessible from Equalground).
How to Access the DocHub (3 Options)
Accessing DocHub in Panorama via SSO
Faculty and Staff (not students) can access the DocHub by logging into Panorama directly via Single Sign-On (SSO).
-
Navigate to https://framingham.panorama.yuja.com/
- Select the "SAML Single Sign-on" Sign-in option
- Enter your FSU credentials
- Open DocHub by clicking on the document icon at the top of the lavender left-side navigation menu in Panorama.
- Upload the document if it is not already there
- Click on the document or hover over it and click "View" to access the the Accessibility Report for the document.
Accessing DocHub through Canvas
If you are a teacher in a Canvas course, you can access the DocHub from Panorama inside any course, to check documents that are not in that course (without having to add it to your course):
- In a Canvas course, navigate to the "Panorama" item in the Course Navigation Menu. This will open up your course report.
- Hover over the menu on the left of the Panorama window and select "DocHub" (the paper icon at the top of the menu)
- In the Dochub, you can upload files and create folders to organize stored files. To upload a file, click the "Upload" button in the center navigation (above the folders by default), then locate it using the file uploader.
- Once you've uploaded a document, click on the document or hover over it and click "View" to access the Accessibility Report for the document.
Accessing DocHub in Equalground via SSO
As of April 2026, DocHub in Equalground is temporarily unavailable. Even when it becomes available again, users are directed to use the DocHub in Panorama. The DocHub in Equalground ha upload limits, but the DocHub in Panorama does not. Therefore, all users are directed to use the DocHub in Panorama for individual document remediation. Document scanning in Equalground should be reserved for active documents hosted on websites or Sharepoint.
- Navigate to https://framingham.equalground.yuja.com/
- Select the "SAML Single Sign-on" Sign-in option
- Enter your FSU credentials
- Open DocHub by clicking on the DocHub icon in the lavender left-side navigation menu.
- Upload the document if it is not already there
- Click on the document or hover over it and click "View" to access the the Accessibility Report for the document.
Using the DocHub
The DocHub can check for accessibility for the following file types: PDF, DOC, DOCX, ODT, RTF, PPT, PPTX, ODP, HTML, XLSX, XLS, ODS, and GIF. Panorama can not check .PAGES files. Panorama can perform inline remediation for some, but not all, issues in files. Once you have the Accessibility Report open, you can begin resolving issues.
Resolving Accessibility Issues in the Accessibility Report
When you first open the report, you will see 3 buttons at the top right: Alternative Formats, Version History, More Menu (3 dots). Underneath that, you will see the Accessibility Score (percentage), and (perhaps) a list of the most common issues. Finally, at the bottom you will see a "Fix this Document" button. Click the "Fix this Document" for the easiest way to get started.
If Your Document was Successfully Scanned (Score >0%, Most .doc/.docx, PPT, etc., some PDFs)
- When you click "Fix this Document" you will be presented with 2 options
- Guided Remediation with Assistance
- Choose File to Upload New Version.
If you believe you have a more accessible version of the file on your computer, choose option b and upload it. Otherwise, choose Guided Remediation with Assistance. You will be guided through each issue one by one. Note: If you do not see the the Guided Remediation button, it may be that your document has issues but that none of them are fixable within the DocHub. See "Unfixable Issues" (Step 3 below).
- Fixable issues: For some of the issues, you will be able to fix them right away. For example, you may be asked to enter a title for the document, or input alt-text for an image. Input the required text, then click "Select Fix". Alternatively, you can click "Skip this Issue".
- Verify Issues: In some cases, you will be asked to simply "verify" that a formatting is correct, such as reading order for content on a slide. In order to truly verify, you will usually need to open the document in its original authoring platform (Powerpoint, Acrobat, etc). View the "Help Guide" in the Accessibility Report for instructions. Once verified, check the checkbox, then click "Select Fix."
- Unfixable Issues: In addition to the issue types listed above, the Accessibility Report may list issues that are not fixable from within the DocHub. They may not be presented to you during the Guided Remediation process but will remain on the report. These are issues that would require significant edits to the text of the document in order to be remediated. These changes would need to be made within the original authoring platform. Click on the issue and click the "Learn More" link for instructions on how to remediate the document in its original platform. After making that change, you will need to replace the current document with the fixed one (step 1b above).
- When you have completed all the fixes that you can, click "Apply [X] Fixes to Document" to save changes. If you have made any changes, your Accessibility Score should update.
If your score is 0% (common for Scanned or Untagged PDFs)
When you click "Fix this Document" you will only see "Choose File to Upload New Version". If you believe you have a more accessible version of the file on your computer, choose this option and upload it. Otherwise, you will need to first generate a scannable alternative version of the file first, then replace the current version with the alternative format.
