Submitting a VoiceThread Comment Assignment - For Students

Introduction to VoiceThread

VoiceThread is a multimedia discussion and presentation tool. In a VoiceThread "Comment Assignment", you are tasked with commenting on an instructor's VoiceThread, much as you would a discussion board. The difference is that in VoiceThread your response will be in the media format specified by your instructor. 

This article walks through the process of submitting a Comment assignment in Canvas. 

Steps

  1. Click on the assignment link in the assignment description page in Canvas.
  2. Click start assignment on the right side of the VoiceThread window.
  3. To create your comment, click the plus button on the lower left. You may choose among the available media options.
  4. Record the number of comments specified in the assignment instructions on the upper right of the assignment window.
  5. VoiceThread will upload your comment once you press stop. Then, it will play back the comment. If you are satisfied with the comment, press save. If not, you can press cancel and re-record.
  6. When you have reached the required number of comments, click submit. The submit button only becomes clickable when the assignment requirements have been met.
