Adding Office 365 email to iPhone for Faculty/Staff

 

When would you use this?

For faculty and staff looking to add Outlook to their mobile devices.

Instructions:

If you have the old Exchange email set up, you will need to remove this first by:

  1. On the home page of your iPhone, tap on Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap Accounts & Passwords
  3. Under Accounts, tap your FSU account
  4. Scroll down and tap Delete account

 To add your Office 365 Faculty/Staff email to your iPhone, follow these steps:
*Note: these instructions are for iPhone iOS 11+

  1. On the home page of your iPhone, tap Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap Accounts & Passwords
  3. Under Accounts, tap Add Account
  4. Tap Exchange
  5. Type in full faculty/staff email account and a description that's easy to distinguish (e.g. FSU)
  6. Tap Sign In to automatically discover your Exchange account information
  7. Tap Save to finish set up

It may ask to sync additional information from your email to your iPhone. This is preference based. 

 



 
If Automatic Sign In does not work, use these Manual Configuration settings:

  • Email: username@framingham.edu
  • Server: outlook.office365.com
  • Domain: (Blank)
  • Username: your email address
  • Password: your password
