How to Access OneDrive and Upload and Share Files and Folders

Framingham State students have access to Microsoft OneDrive, a cloud storage space as part of the Office 365 suite. All users have several GB of storage in OneDrive.

To Access OneDrive

  1. Navigate to office.com

  2. Sign in using your FSU email address and password.

  3. Click on the waffle Menu (matrix of 9 dots at top left) to view all Office apps. Select OneDrive from the list.

  4. Within OneDrive, you can create folders and upload documents.

To Share a File or Folder from OneDrive

1. In your list of files in OneDrive, next to each file name, you will see a share icon (arrow coming out of a box). Click on this button to see sharing options

  2. There are several ways to share the file, but the most common way is to simply copy a link and paste it (into an email, discussion board post, etc). Make sure to check whether the link you are sharing allows users to edit a document or simply view it. To change this setting, click on the eye icon.

  3. Note: when you open a file from your OneDrive (in Word, Excel, etc), you will also be able to share the file from within those applications (Share button in the top right)
