McGraw Hill Connect (LTI 1.3): Automatically pass back Zeroes to Canvas Gradebook after Assignment Due Date

Instructions

  1. In Canvas course, launch the McGraw Hill Integration tool link (in the Course Navigation Window).
  2. On the integration dashboard, click on Grade Sync.

 

  1. Select the gear (located in the upper right hand corner of screen).

  1. Enable the Grade Sync setting (shown below). Click SAVE.

*If the instructor did not have the setting enabled but enables it, it will only apply to assignments moving forward (no retroactive fix). In the event the grade sync setting was already enabled and the zero scores are failing to sync (after due date of assignment), our support team will need to further review/troubleshoot the issue.

Limitations

It is possible that automatic grade passback (or zeroes, or any score) may not occur in the following circumstances:

  1. The total point value of the assignment is zero (in other words, "full credit" is a score of 0/0).
  2. A student has not yet linked their Canvas and Connect accounts. Linking of accounts occurs automatically when a student first clicks on a Connect
