When would you use this?
You would like to record student attendance for a class session.
Instructions:
Canvas has a native Attendance tool built into your course. We have also incorporated an external tool that we like even better: Qwickly Attendance.
Add Qwickly Attendance to your course menu
- From the Canvas course menu, click Settings.
- Click Navigation.
- Locate Qwickly Attendance and then drag it up into the course menu. (You can alternatively click the three-dot menu and select "Enable".)
- Click Save to update the menu.
If the default "Attendance" link is visible in the course menu, you can hide it from students by following the above procedure.
Set up and use Qwickly Attendance
The Qwickly resource page has tutorials on how to set up and use the attendance tool. (Be sure to select Canvas as the LMS.)
