Qwickly Attendance: Input attendance for past class sessions

Attendance records can be added to Qwickly attendance either in real time, or retroactively. You may want to retroactively add attendance records for past class sessions if you have been taking attendance using some other method, such as a sign-in sheet.

1. In your course, select Qwickly Attendance from the Course Navigation window

2. In Qwickly, navigate to Attendance>List

3. Under "Session information, select "Past Time", then enter the date of the session. You must enter a time as well, although the time does not need to be precise or even accurate. 

4. Under "List," mark each student as either Absent, Present, or Excused. By default, all students will initially be marked Present. You may also add notes by clicking on the blue speech bubble.

5. Click Submit attendance.

If you have properly set up Qwickly attendance for your course, and you are syncing with the Canvas gradebook, you should see your Canvas gradebook update automatically. If it does not sync right away, click on "Records" in Qwickly and click "Sync Grades"
