When would you use this?
In order to connect to your department's shared drive, you will need to map it to your computer
Instructions:
- Press Win + E to open the File Explorer window. (Alternatively, you can also type File Explorer where it says, Type here to search, in the lower left of your screen.)
- Right Click on ‘This PC’ from the left side of the window.
- Select ‘Map Network...’ from the list.
- Choose a drive letter. ...
- Enter the Server Location in the Folder field.

- Select the checkbox for Reconnect at sign-in.
- Click Finish.
Your new location is mapped and you should be able to access your files normally!
