Private Browsing or Incognito

When would you use this?

Most browsers feature Incognito or Private Browsing functionality. This feature allows you to browse without previously obtained cache and cookies enabled. Any new cookies and data cached during the session will be cleared when closed, and no browsing history is kept. This is great to use on shared computers, lab machines, or when troubleshooting website connectivity.

If a website works in Incognito/Private Browsing window, but not a regular window, consider clearing the cookies and cache to restore normal functionality.

Instructions:

  1. Open the menu (three dots) options in the upper right of the window
  2. Select New Incognito Window (or New Private Window in some browsers)
