Missing emails - Held by Postmaster

When would you use this?

Follow the instructions below when you would like to retrieve emails that are being held. Sometimes emails are held when they are flagged as being spam.
 

Instructions:

You may receive a message from Domain postMaster address <postmaster@framingham.edu> with the header You have new held messages.


 

 

You have 3 options with held emails:

  • Release: Delivers this particular message from the sender, but future messages from this sender may be blocked.    
  • Permit: Allows all future messages from this sender and delivers the message. This option should be selected only for known and trusted senders.
  • Block: Rejects the message from being delivered. This option also blocks all future messages from this sender.
