Microsoft Office 365
Microsoft Office 365 is a cloud-based suite of integrated software solutions available to all Framingham State University Faculty, Staff, and Students from any computer or mobile device (such as a smartphone or tablet) with an Internet connection. You can also download companion Microsoft Office products onto your computer or mobile device. Office 365 is especially useful as a way to communicate, collaborate and stay productive whenever you are working, teaching or learning remotely.

Outlook, Calendar, People, Tasks, and To Do
Microsoft Outlook is an application that is used mainly to send and receive E-mails. But it also incorporates other integrated components such as Calendar, People, Tasks and To Do to manage various types of other information including; contacts, scheduled appointments and meetings, delegated and assigned tasks.
RECOMMENDED USES
- As the official means of E-mail communications at the University
- Manage E-mail, calendars, task assignments, to do lists, and contact information
- Manage shared E-mail and calendars such as those that get created by Office 365 Teams
MICROSOFT TRAINING AND OTHER INFORMATION
OneDrive
OneDrive is an online cloud storage service from Microsoft that is integrated with other Microsoft Office 365 applications and allows users to store files in one place, share them with others, and simultaneously edit Microsoft Office documents from any device connected to the Internet.
RECOMMENDED USES
- As the official means of cloud storage for documents and other types of files at the University
- Selectively sharing files with other people within the University and externally
- Jointly creating and editing of Microsoft Office documents (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Teams
Microsoft Teams is a suite of collaboration software that combines conferencing, messaging, conversation boards, file sharing, and a planner for coordinating group work.
RECOMMENDED USES
- As the official means of team-based online collaboration at the University
- For meeting management, conferencing, and file sharing among teams such as academic departments, administrative offices, committees, and temporary workgroups
- For real-time communication using chat as well as audio and video conferencing

Microsoft SharePoint is a content management and collaboration platform primarily used to create, manage, and share documents and knowledge within an organization.

MICROSOFT TRAINING AND OTHER INFORMATION
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint each provide personal productivity software for creating documents, spreadsheets, and slide deck presentations. Using the Office 365 versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint allows you to create, view, edit, and share documents, spreadsheets, and presentations from any computer or mobile device with an Internet connection.
