The recommended Internet browsers for doing course work in Canvas are Google Chrome and Firefox. It is a good idea to have both available as a backup. To install the browsers, follow the links:
Chrome [https://www.google.com/chrome/]
Firefox [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/]
Edge and Safari are supported, but are less reliable. Regardless of browser, it is important to keep browsers updated. The following Canvas support article will provide more information. This page will also reveal whether your current browser is up to date: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Basics-Guide/What-are-the-browser-and-computer-requirements-for-Instructure/ta-p/66
The page above will also reveal whether the following are enabled in your browser: Java, Cookies, Javascript. Many features of Canvas, particularly integrated tools, require that these be enabled. See the articles below for more information on how to make adjustment to your browser.
