Students and authorized users use the epay portal, also known as the billing portal, in order to pay tuition, check scholarship information, and to set up payment plans, among other things. The epay portal is provided by TouchNet, a third party provider, so the Service Desk has limited options in assisting with billing portal login issues.
Students:
Students should ALWAYS access the billing portal via MyFramingham, using their single sign on (SSO) credentials:
- Open any web browser (e.g. Chrome, Microsoft Edge).
- Enter into the address bar my.framingham.edu or framingham4.sharepoint.com
- Click the photo that says Students.
- On the right-hand sidebar, click the eighth item, Billing Portal.
You will now be brought to the epay / billing portal and be automatically logged in.
Authorized Users:
Before authorized users can log in, the student will need to add their email address as an authorized user.
To add an authorized user:
Students can do this by first following the above instructions to log into the epay / billing portal, then by doing the following:
- On the right-hand side of the page, from the list My Profile Setup, click Authorized Users.
- Click Add Authorized User.
- Enter the email address of the person you wish to authorize. They will use this email address as part of their login information and will need access to it.
- You may adjust which aspects of your bill the authorized user can view with the three bubbles.
- Click Continue, then Agree, then Continue again.
To log in as an authorized user:
Once a student has added an email address as an authorized user, a message will be sent to that email address, informing them they have been added as an authorized user. In this email, an initial password and a direct link to the epay / billing portal should be provided.
Authorized users can log into the epay / billing portal by doing the following:
- Go to https://epay.framingham.edu/C20763_tsa/web/login.jsp
- Click Authorized User.
- Enter the email address authorized by the student.
- Enter the initial password given in the welcome email.
TouchNet randomly generates passwords and usually delivers them in the following format:
[ xy25.f]\fa ]
Where the password can be any combination of letters, numbers, or other symbols. It is important to note that the password you should use is only the part bolded above - do not enter the two open and closed square brackets or the first and last space. The actual password you receive will not be bolded.
Afterward, click login to enter the epay / billing portal.
If your password does not work / "lock out" error:
Students:
Reset your password via self service.
Authorized users:
If you have forgotten your password:
- Enter your email address into the email field.
- Click Forgot Password.
- A new randomly generated password will be emailed to you in one to three minutes.
- Copy and paste the password from your email, and make sure to only get what's inside the square brackets as mentioned above.
If your account says it is locked following too many incorrect password attempts, you can either wait or reset the password via "forgot password." The account lockout is automated and lasts around an hour. Unfortunately, since this system is hosted via TouchNet, we cannot reduce this timer OR manually change your password. If you receive this error, you can wait it out or reset the password by following the instructions directly above.
If you still cannot log in even after using "forgot password:"
Have your student remove and readd you as an authorized user. They can follow the instructions from earlier in this article to get to the authorized users page, then remove you by clicking the settings wheel and then Delete. They should then readd your email address.
You will get a welcome email alerting you that you have been added as an authorized user, however this one will not come with a new password. After receipt of the welcome email, enter your email address again and click Forgot Password in order to generate a fresh password.
Once you log in following this, you will be allowed into the epay / billing portal.
If you struggle with any part of this process, please call our help desk at 508-215-5906 weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. so we can assist you through these steps and escalate the ticket if access is still not granted.
