Scheduled Grade Posting
Until now, you've had two options for posting grades in Canvas: either make them visible to students immediately upon input, or post grades "manually" at a later time. How many times have you entered your grades, and then forgot to click "Post" for weeks? Now, there is a third option: schedule the release of the grades! Just select "Grade Posting Policy > Manually" as before, and now you will have the option to "Schedule Release Dates."

Even More Improvements to New Quizzes
- Surveys are now available in New Quizzes (see Surveys are coming to New Quizzes!). Surveys can be anonymous or non-anonymous, graded or ungraded. This addition brings us one step closer to 100% feature parity between New Quizzes and Classic Quizzes. For a full comparison, see: Classic Quizzes/New Quizzes Comparison Document.
- Cleaner Look! With the removal of the underlying iFrame architecture, you won't be seeing any more of those double or triple scroll bars, and neither will your students.
- Optional New Feature: Interested in trying out AI-assisted quiz authoring assistance? Let us know!
Welcome Module Updated (Again)
The Welcome Module (includes Course Overview & Syllabus, About Your Instructor, FSU Resources and Support, etc) has been updated. If you have been using this module in your courses, and course-copying every semester, you should update it.

The easiest way to get the updated module is to navigate into Canvas Commons and import it directly (see: Import a template module from Canvas Commons). From there, if your course is brand-new, you can start editing the template pages. If you already have some content that you have customized (the Course Overview & Syllabus and About Your Instructor pages), you can add those back to the module and delete the blank templates.
For those that already have older versions of the modules in your courses, there are additional methods for updating, described in Updating your Canvas Welcome Module. This process can be a little bit confusing, so don't hesitate to reach out to eto@framingham.edu with questions!
Fundamentals of Accessible Digital Content in Canvas Course Still Available
This free, self-paced course is still available through the Training Services Portal, which can be found in the Canvas "Help and Information Menu" located at the bottom of the Global Navigation Menu (far left of every Canvas page). For a detailed description, with screenshots, of how to access this resources, see How to Access the Fundamentals of Accessible Digital Content in Canvas course in the Canvas Training Services Portal.
The course will take about 1 hour to complete and there is an opportunity to earn a digital badge upon completion.
