Overview
The security technologies supported are:
• ID card access readers and credentials (both physical and mobile) for authorized access to campus spaces
• Campus surveillance system, including internal and external cameras along with various storage appliances and monitoring software.
• Code Blue emergency phones (commonly known as “blue phones”) and intercom units for areas of refuge (commonly known as “red phones”)
• Enterprise security management systems for on-campus and satellite operations (CCure 9000/Salto Systems)

• 24/7 monitoring and recording of sensitive and public areas on campus
• Easy access to video recordings for campus governance, disciplinary and evidentiary purposes
• Multiple hard-wired communications points on campus to report emergencies or suspicious activity to authorities
• Life safety communications in secure areas such as labs and areas where hazardous materials are stored
Prerequisites
Requests for new physical security services installations will almost always require a consultation and may need a capital request form if appropriate.
