Why log into Panopto through their website (rather than through Canvas)?

From Panopto.com, you can view all of your content (from your classes and otherwise) and create, edit, and share videos that are not associated with a specific course.

How to log in:

  • Head to Panopto.com and click "Sign-In" (underlined in red in the screenshot below):

  • Enter your FSU email and click "Next"
  • The website will load FSU's login page (this may take a few seconds)
  • Make sure "Canvas" is selected from the Drop down menu and click "Sign-In." Your browser will open Canvas, where you may have to sign in with your FSU credentials (if you're not already signed in) and then your Panopto homepage will load.

Navigating your Panopto Homepage:

  • When you load your Panopto homepage, you'll see a list of all videos that have been shared with you.
  • The left-hand menu will let you navigate from your homepage to your videos, videos that have been shared with you, and videos you've subscribed to.
  • The Question Mark button in the top right of your screen (next to your initials or profile picture) will take you to Panopto-created documentation. You can also click "Show Tour" to have Panopto highlight each menu on your screen and what it does.
