Options for Continuing Instruction and Communication  

Email Students Directly 

Student email addresses can be found on myFramingham and Starfish. See How to email students  


Hold class sessions using Zoom or Microsoft Teams  

For scheduled synchronous sessions, both Zoom and Microsoft Teams remain available for instructional use:  

Microsoft Teams: navigate to https://teams.microsoft.com and log in via SSO. Note students can join an MS Teams meeting without needing to download or sign in to MS Teams. 

Zoom: navigate to https://zoom.us/signin and sign in with FSU email address and password. If you are unable to access Zoom, contact it@framingham.edu to request a license. 


Share Files  

Files can be shared with students via email attachments and/or through OneDrive

Be Prepared for Future Outages – Proactive Steps You can Take Now 

  1. Maintain a parallel file structure in local or cloud storage for course materials outside of Canvas. Select and download course related files from the Files area of the course. Instructors can bulk select files using these instructions. Once downloaded, files can be uploaded to OneDrive where they can be shared as an individual file or as part of a folder with students.
